QUILTS WE MADE OUR RVs

How about all of us rv quilters show our quilts we made for our RVs. Here is mine that I made for our queen rv bed. I pieced it all on the rode in Florida, then quilted it back at home.

Hi Nuisance, I love to hear when people are just starting to quilt. The only problem with quilting is getting addicted to it . Just enjoy it and I wish you all the luck in the world. Show some pics when you can.

I didn't make this quilt, but received it from a good friend this summer for my retirement gift. She made it for us to use in our RV. Hope it's ok I posted this even though I didn't make it. It's much too pretty not to share! (Oops, I can't get the photo turned the right direction!)

Very nice! I cannot imagine the amount of work, and time, you put into it! And a queen size one to boot. Wow! Great job!!

How beautiful, it's great to have a friend that thinks enough of you to present you with a cherished beautiful quilt. Love the colors, bet it looks great in you rv.

Love this idea-it's been awhile since I've quilted but it would be great when we full-time-right now life so busy.

I love to quilt on the road when we are snowbirds. When It is somewhat chilly or when it rains in Florida. I have a lightweight sewing machine in my rv and always keep a supply of stash and tools. Couldn't go without them.

Would like to learn how to do this but my sewing machine is to heavy to bring with us anywhere. Have cleaned oiled and adjusted and makes a nice stitch, would probably work good for this and doubles as an exercise machine.

thanks for the response - this is a packed rally and so much fun. Bob and Cindy checked the tour schedules and Thrs morning was the only time we could do it. the afternoon tour starts later than the other afternoon tour. The Quilt Tour follows on Friday. Several tours were all day. If you aren't able to make it - get with me and I'll share any notes I can take Thrs.

Not sure what a break out quilt session consist of. This will be my first time at the Frog Rally. Can't wait to go, sounds like great fun and I know I will be meeting so many great F. R. Campers and Quilters.

last year the Quilting break out session was presented by Margaret Reek - topic was quilting in your RV. she is a full-time rver. they won't be there this year. during the gathering we ended up sharing tips and techniques with one another because not everyone was a full-time rver. was so interesting Sherri and I wanted it to continue this year. Quilters always learn from one another. We had non-quilters there who just wanted to listen.
We have been to so many rallies over the years - but the Forrest River Rally was one of the best. Still in awe how they managed to feed all of us in such a timely manner. Food was very good too. Lots of really nice quilt shops in the area....
