Deck is on

So, finally getting shots of the new deck. 24 foot wide main portion with a step down to a 9x8 cooking area. Step was necc to get under the kitchen door and to get area at right height. Notice the steps trimmed in to be flush with finished deck and also the built in 'shoe box'.... An after thought as I quickly got tired of all the shoes around the front door.

Hi all,
Just about got the new site finished. The grass is coming along well and the fire pit, planter box are installed and the grasses are planted. It sure will be nice to stop working on it now and start enjoying the site. I think it turned out nice, even the neighbors are fixing their sites now!
Here are a B-4 and today pictures.

Very nice! Like the gravel pad around the fire pit.

Thanks Platokidd,
The pit sure was a pain to put gravel in, 5.5 ton of #57 gravel with shovel and a barrowed broken down wheelbarrow. I sure am glad that is done.
The pit turned out to be a perfect size, we had a 4' tall flame and were able to back up far enough to keep from igniting our clothes.

Thinking about going seasonal

Hello all. I'm new to the forum and I have enjoyed reading the Seasonal camper thread. We currently camp in a pop up that I have had for about 5 seasons. The pop up has a 4x7 bed on the front that I use to take one of my motorcycles with us. It would be cool to have a seasonal and be able to ride the bike to camp. The wife and I are thinking about going seasonal in the next year or so. What we are doing now is going to as many different campgrounds within 1 to 2 hours from home to see where we would like to set up a seasonal sight.

We like the idea of not having all the packing and set up time. Going right from work on friday would be great. Our boys are 17 and 19 now and are not as interested in camping right now as much as they were in the past. So we are looking for the little get away for the wife and I.

This is how I get my bike to camp.

Welcome to the forum. This is our first year as seasonals, we love it. All you do is take your weekend clothes and food. Best part is no more making reservations or hoping you get a good spot.
