1st year with a seasonal site
Hi,
This is our first year as seasonal's. We are staying at Indian Creek RV & Camping Resort. The campground made a new site for us this spring and we are looking forward to transforming this fresh canvas into a nice relaxing site. Here are a couple pics of the rough site. The driveway stone and shed went in this week. I will work the soil, plant the lawn, create a fire pit / lounging area within the next few weeks. Our first trip is next weekend to start getting the yard going, stain the new shed, measure the driveway for landscape timbers to contain the gravel ect...
Glad to join this area of the forum.

sroarke,
Thanks. The campground is supposed to harley rake the yard but I will most likely have to rent a machine to get it in shape for the grass planting. Pics to follow next week with the TT, shed and driveway in place.

Looking forward to getting back to ours the weekend after next. Plan on caulking roof and insulating the cap closet and other areas with Reflectix. While it might have some insulation, the cap takes direct intense Florida sun.

Found this shot from taken in the 1980's good for getting the perspective, ocean on one side with private gated pool; Mid-park pool/ tennis courts/hot tub/suana/ workout room mid park and another pool/boat ramp/shufflboard/gardens/ owners club on the Indian River (Intercoatal waterway) on the other side.
Full time maintenance crew cuts grass, lighting, etc. Annual fees are $2,400 includes cable.

Arrived to our seasonal site to see a little frost action damage! Easy fix though. Can't wait to get back there next weekend!

So the campground we stay at just decided last week to allow golf carts. A number of campers have been asking for them for years but I know a few that are opposed to the idea.
They are only allowing electric carts which I find odd because the reasoning behind not getting them before was that the campground's electrical couldn't handle it. 99% of the park is only 30A.
Also the fact the fact that the campground just isn't that big. It's probably only a 5-10 minute walk to get from one side to the other. I'm hoping they'll step up the security and crack down on the rules. They are pretty lax about them now.

This lady bought this fixer upper lot, making it a garden and planted a classic 1966 Airstream.

Year over year growth in FL is crazy. Goal to cover fence, will not be an issue.
Pool on Intercoastal/Indian Reiver...camping is rough.

Go Buckeyes!
Yes, about 20 miles south, Outdoor Resorts of America (ORA), Melbourne Beach. Really formerly ORA, the sites are now individually owned, but can be rented, five star resort amenities. This place fly's under the radar, no website, etc. PM me if you would like more information.
