Stolen Camper - HOT

Please keep an eye out for this Coleman Redwood that was stolen from a family going on vacation presumably near Clifty Falls State Park (around Louisville or Cincinnati?). Saw this post on Facebook from a friend of a friend.

I know there is limited info here and this is a shot in the dark.

If you see it, please call the police and reply to me with info on which police department you reported to, then I'll reach out to my friend and let them know. They did file a police report, but I don't know where.

Thank you!

The person who did this is a low-life.

I don’t expect to be able to help, but I will keep an eye out.

This is why you buy and use a hitch lock.

Puzzled

What was the problem with the trailer that forced them to leave it at the side of the road and could not continue to be towed.....yet someone else can come along and tow it away?

Someone can come along with a flatbed and wench it up in just minutes. I'm sure if they could have towed it they would have. Why does the victim always get blamed when stuff happens? Not a one of us was there and knows what happened.

The area that I found on I-65 and Rt 31 (the area described on the FB page) is somewhere between Elizabethtown and Bowling Green KY... near Mammoth Cave Nat'l Park.

So sorry this happened in my home state.

I also put a heavy chain and padlock thru the spokes of the wheel. Just another thing easy to do to slow em down.

As said above, we don't know what the circumstances were.

I know they said that they filed a police report, but I wonder if they called the state police to see if they had it towed. I know they normally don't that quickly, but I'd at least call and see.

The lowlife is probably a Meth head. They put trailers in the woods and use them for labs for cooking their drugs

I too think a thief is just about as low as it gets. Good news is...most of us campers spot RVs and look at them as we pass/see, so maybe someone here will spot it. Good luck in your/their quest.

After 24 hours take the insurance check and be happy. Longer than that it has been towed off the beaten path and became a methblab.
