What do you do once camp is set up?
Looking for input on what people do once they get to their site and camp is setup? We have just begun to camp again and are doing so in our 2018 Forester. Once camp is setup, we pull out the chairs and the wine (if it's time:-) and proceed to take in all there is to see. One thing we've noticed in most evenings is that we seem to be the only people outside. Not many people out enjoying nature and the fresh air. Where is everyone? 📺?

No matter what time it is a cold beverage is in order.

Cold glass of sweet iced tea for me. I sit outside if the temperature is under 80. If not, I may go drive around in the truck and look at the campground or nearby areas while the camper A/C gets things cooled down a little bit. That's often necessary in Texas...any time from March to October. Usually November to February is cool enough to sit out-- but not always!

I guess it has been hot out and the AC has seen some hours put on it. Maybe things will be different once we get deeper into the fall
Season.

We usually don't pull in until late evening so once we are set up, it's time to get dinner cooked, cleaned up and then worry about getting DD off to bed. Frequently the first night is a chill out night and earlier bed time after a long work day. The next day behind the real camping. If we get there earlier and aren't too exhausted then we like to have a fire to sit around.

Quick visual inspection of the RV and truck, might wash the bugs off the nose cone then chairs out, sit back with a drink and relax.

Set up camp and a little of everything...
Beverages,
Cook the next meal,
Find a cool local activity or shops,
Hike,
Take the dog for a walkabout
Play Wiffle Ball, ring toss, ladder golf with the kids,
Enjoy the family.
We use the trailer as a home away from home but focus on leaving our phones and other media aside so we can hang out as a family.

I crack open the first "camping soda" as soon as I get the TV unhitched. When the camp is set up I go and get firewood and then sit and relax with a couple more camping sodas.

I never have a clue what happened. Get set up on Friday and crack the first one....next thing I know....it's Sunday and time to pack it back up and go home.
Actually.....we always have at least two grandkids with us, so it's non-stop, bike, hike, fish, games, popcorn and movies at night...sometimes fresh Brownies. It's family and friends time and if it's just for the weekend...we make the most of it. ELECTRONICS NOT ALLOWED !!

Depending on what part of the country you're talking about, perhaps everyone is inside hiding from the mosquitoes that carry the West Nile Virus.

We grab the fishing gear and fishing chairs and head for the nearest lake/river/pond and spend some time there.

Yep!
Usually take a stroll around the campground to check it out, stretch our legs and get the Fuzzheads used to thier new "home". Then it's time to chill outside for the rest of the day. Hopefully with a campfire!

I would say have a nice cold beer walk the campground to see the sights then sit relax and enjoy the evening.

Get everything set up, chairs out, something to drink. We are usually camping with friends so deciding on dinner and having a pitch in as a group. Then a campfire started plus walking the dogs.
We usually camp with friends that work (our kids and friends) so we try to be there ahead of them and have dinner ready so all they have to do is get set up. After dinner and clean up, usually just chit chat around the campfire.
Next day there might be bike riding, hiking, whatever. We just mostly chill and enjoy the weekend.
