Usually having to go through or around New York City and getting out of CT for the weekend. . . a 3 hour one way trip is usually 6 hrs no matter what time you leave. We travel whatever it takes to get to the next dog show and back. 500 miles round trip is a usual weekend.

I was born and raised in Texas. We have a big state. So, I guess I'd have to say 6 hours is about what my tolerance is for pulling a trailer one-way for a short weekend. Of course, 6 hours in New England oft seems unfathomable for folk up yonder!
