Younger Snowbirds?

First of all, I couldn't find a better place for this post. Admins, if you feel it belongs elsewhere, by all means please move it.

Second, I'm thinking about doing some snowbirding and wondering if there are any parks or areas that cater to younger, semi-retired people? I'm not a youngster by any stretch of the imagination - 52 years old - but I'd prefer to spend time with people about my age rather than considerably older (most retirees).

Any suggestions?

Also, my wife is even younger than I am. We're both quite active and would enjoy athletic pursuits along with our snowbirding.

We're based out of Nebraska so Texas would be a good general area.

There are actually a lot of families who are doing it and a whole younger generation who are either snowbirding or fulltiming.

You might look at the Xscapers part of Escapees for finding like-aged/minded snowbirders.

Unfortunately, I don't know the parks in Texas that well to help with your actual question.
