1959 Cove Travel Trailer

Hi--I'm looking at buying a 1959 17' Cove travel trailer. It's in excellent condition; tires have 247 mi. on them; recently painted bright red and white. The bed is nice w/memory foam mattress; it has a porta-pottie; stove and fridge (12-volt) both work fine. Has a working a/c in the back over the bed. It has the cute little red "wings" that go with that model. The seller wants $1200. I really like it; want to know if this is a good price; and hope to resell down the road at a higher price. Any thoughts???

"miles" on tires is misleading - look at the date stamped on the tires. If they are 6 years old you need new ones.

I don't think you can ever say whether price is right or wrong when considering a 1959 trailer at $1200.

Price on any vintage item is determined by how much people are willing to pay, doesn't sound like you can go too wrong at $1200.

Now, if you can get some use out of it and justify some of the expense before you decide to sell all the better. Just remember when selling it, age is not the issue, vintage is, and patience is the key to getting a price better than what you pay
