2008 Forest River Salem value check? T23FBL

Newbie here and our 1st TT, like this one for floor plan and clean. Concerned purchasing a 2008 trailer from the second owner but don't want to go new until we see how much we like camping and or have the time to use it. Is 10,800 a fair asking price? Should we pay for a PPI? good model? Pull vehicle will be a Chevrolet Avalance 1500.

Hi Ed. I have a 2009 Salem 27rbec. It is a great camper. I've owned mine since new. Have NEVER had a problem with mine. Its a great camper. Mine is a 27 footer and weighs 5090. It is a 1/2 ton towable camper. I use to pull mine with an F150. I'm sure being that yours is a 23 footer you should have no problem at all towing yours with your Chevy. As far as a fair price? Hard to say. But I can understand you not wanting to go brand new. Average starting price is 16,000 or so. Plus title taxes delivery....blah blah blah. Could run you into the early 20's. Try to knock him down to 9,000. That sounds fair to me. Good luck to you.
