2010 Cherokee gray wolf 28bkhs

Need some help here!
We are looking at 2010 Cherokee gray wolf 28bkhs tomorrow morning.
This will be my family's 1st trailer and was wondering if anyone is familiar
With this model? The seller is the origional owner and claims to have used it
4 times. From the pictures it looks pretty un used. Even some of the plastic covering Is still on the top bunks and 1 of the cushions on the dinette still has the plastic on it. A dealer offerd to buy it for $9800 over the phone. And I can buy it for $10,000. Nada has it between $13,000- $15,000 but really not sure how accurate nada is. Is this a good deal??
Is there any thing I should specifically look for while I'm looking at it?
Also is there a way to run the VIN # ?
I guess my main question is... Is this a good trailer? I would rather spend some more money to not deal with a buck of headaches. We almost bought a new Surveyor but realized maybe we should start with a nice used trailer 1st.
Any help here would be great!!!

Only you can decide. The price is right if you inspect it well.
Does it have original tires?
Check the roof to look for cracks, stains or water puddling.
Does the under carriage have any rust or looks like its been around salt water?
Check all the appliances as they are the most expensive to replace if they don't work.
If it looks like it has been well cared for buy it.
If you still have questions have a dealer take a look at it for a few bucks.
Good luck and let us know what you decided.
Pictures please

Good luck with your decision. Whether you buy used or new, here is a good RV inspection checklist.

RV Inspection Checklist.

Personally, we bought a few years old to avoid the massive depreciation RVs take in the first few years. I've had it 3 years and can still sell it for more than I paid and it's not had a single problem. We maintain seals...that's the ticket. Ours is a 34 foot Cherokee and we love it.

IMHO I would by new. Especially ifyou plan to keep it for quit a few years. New saysyou are not going to buy someone elses hidden problems. You will also have a warranty to cover any issues you may have.
