2016 Micro Lite 25bhs

First time poster. This is my switch from the pop-up portal to the Forest River forum. I just ordered a 2016 Flagstaff Micro Lite 25BHS and trying to find out if the deal is as good as it seems. It has the Sapphire package, power awning, oven, microwave, spare, wood floor look, ladder, TV, DVD, inside and outside speakers, extra fan.... I went with the 13.5K BTU A/C, I am not sure I will live to regret that or not. A point of interest is that the dealer told me they change the model year now, but don't make and model changes until September. I thought that was interesting. Anyway, I paid/will pay 18K for it. Does that sound like a good deal?

A good place to compare new prices is rvwholesalers.com

I did much price comparing before I bought (2015 21FBRS) & it looks like a very good price to me. I think the 13.5 A/C will be OK, it is in mine. Sounds like you got all the bells & whistles. You will enjoy it much more than the pop-up.
Congrats from NE FLA.

We actually get cold in our 23lb. So I agree the 13.5 ac unit should be fine

I recently paid 19.5 for the rockwood equivalent 2504s but I also ordered power tongue jack, slide topper and night shades. brake controller (installed) and WDH (installed) were included also. this was out the door $ all sales tax, license plate and secretary of state fees. its winter so its stored at the dealer until spring

Sounds very comparable. I know the feeling. Ours won't be out of the factory until April! Too much snow here anyway! That is exactly what I wanted to hear about the 13.5K A/C! Thanks for everyone's input!

Not sure this accurate. On the Rockwood we purchased 2 years ago, this was not the case. A friend and I both purchased identical units just a few weeks apart. He took delivery in March, us in April. We both got the next year model, but we got a number of upgrades that he didn't. I'm pretty sure they use up the parts from the previous years model, even if they've already started using the new model year on the title.... They then switch over to the new upgrades. I'm not sure there's really a set date for a switch/change.

I could be totally wrong... I'm sure someone will set me straight if I am. Lol.

I hope you are correct, KDHfan. We were a little disappointed that the toilet was in a different place in the 2015 (no counter top for women) and that there was not a third bunk option. It looks like they have moved the water heater under the bunk and took space away from the third bunk/storage area. It they moved the toilet back for more counter space it would make the wife happy. But you mentioned upgrades not changes. I will let you know when I pick it up. Thanks for the input!

Any change "should" be an upgrade, right? 😉

Sounds like you're suffering from a bout of "buyers remorse."

Don't worry about it. You've ordered it, and probably paid for it (or at least put a big chunk down); just enjoy it.

in our case, we didn't need or want the third bunk(but the dog might disagree) so that didn't matter. as far as the bathroom we were happy to give up space in the bathroom (but I have to agree that big counter was nice) and have the wider bunks vs narrow bunks plus the wall at the end of the bunks no longer extends all the way to the ceiling which really lets more light in from that top window. anyway its like 5 degrees out so camping is still a little ways off.

I ordered mine in early February and the dealer said it would be ready for pick-up mid to late April. I hope she is right.

10 weeks for you is still early May, plenty of camping time left. I am hoping it is 6 weeks for you as well. The dealer had some in-stock for us, but the wife wanted a different decor and the wood floor look, so I got an extra fan and a ladder on the back for me. It is -8 outside right now so it wouldn't be much good to us now any way. I am trying my best to be patient.

Did you see Craigster's comment about the wider bunks? I think the extra 4 inches width on the bunks is great. The 26 inch wide looked a bit too much like a coffin. The kids don't stop growing, so the extra space should help.
