5lb propane bottle?

Folks,

Does anyone have any ideas of where to get a good deal on a 5lb propane bottle? I'm looking for one for my outdoor grill. I've looked on ebay and Amazon but paying $50 for an empty bottle seems a bit high.

Thanks,

Shane

it's funny a 5 lb bottle costs more than a 20 pounder but thats what I paid at CW because I wanted a small bottle for the propane fire pit

Possibly at a bulk propane dealer - may have a re-valved old one available - worth a try at least.

At a kroger by the house, they are $59.95 filled. With exchange they are $17.99. I found one on craigslist for 10.00 and got the exchange.

I picked mine up in the last spring from a propane dealer, they had some left over from fall deer hunting season and wanted to get rid of them. it came filled and was $27.50 plus tax. I just tossed the sales slip last week.

Jester

That exchange rate of $17.99 is the going rate for a 20#er.
