C) "Loose" a $1500 "cash" rebate but get 0.0% APR financing for 72 months. Since my investments are doing very well I saw no reason to pay cash. Instead I chose to use Ford's money, for the cost of the $1500 rebate, for the next six years...

I always do the math both ways....

Right on , Captain America. Life can be far too short to postpone doing what you want to do. We started travelling camping many years ago and have been doing so for more than 20 years... then two strokes and a quad bypass interrupted our plans. Do it while you can. Wait and you may not be able to. In retrospect, at 80, we are now sorry we did not start much earlier.

Yep! Bought my first RV on credit, so I could spend quality time with my wife and two daughters. We started when they were in elementary-aged kids. It was especially important to me since I have kidney disease and don't expect to have a long retirement. That first camper was almost 20 years ago and was the start of priceless memories. The time with my family was more than worth the interest payment.

The loan on an RV qualified as a second mortgage prior to the new tax bill just signed. I'm assuming that will continue. In my circumstances it definitely is a plus. Very few things receive such preferential tax treatment.

We financed our MH through our local Dealer (not CW, by the way). I told them I could only make a payment of so much per month. They went to a bank that gave us a 3.10% rate and made the monthly payment into what I wanted. No hidden fees from dealer and they even stated that the extended warranty they sold was too expensive and told me about other extended warranties that were half the price that I could buy on my own; which I did when our warranty was up. Video may be for this dealer to drum up new business, but it is also so true about how CW does business. So thanks for posting it.

For 2018, the standard deduction for a married couple is $24K. There will be a lot less people that will be able to make it worth to itemize anymore.

I heard the number of returns that itemize is currently 30%. The estimate is that it will drop to 5%.

Depends on if u also have a good home mortgage but also work part time and are on Medicare. If u play the numbers right especially if u can for a few years have retirement contributions , ucan literally if also 1099 earnings , pay ZERO income taxes my friend. And because he didn't want to ride up his core he apparently is not going to change the mortgage deductibity if u r not into super jumbo numbers. Basically a mortgage interest of 20+k / yr is really going to superchage the mileage and other business deductions. So in no







I always suggest you call a
realCPA firm. Yea they are pricey but usually if u do have some kind of income stream most likely they will pay for themselves multtimes for u.

Your write-off (deduction) for interest is not going to nearly make up for the out of pocket costs you will pay in interest. Borrowing money at interest never makes sense unless you have to. Pay cash. And Write is spelled write, not wright.

Saw this on the IRV2 forum....kind of lengthy but excellent tips about RV dealerships, speaks mainly to CW pressure tactics but it could be any dealer - worth a look if you are shopping....

Long but interesting seems he is in a fight with CW and he seem to actually care about the RV buyer. 1. Read the fine print. 2. compare extended warranties 3. compare interest rates. 4. Read company reviews Overall a very informative video

Agreed, good synopsis. I've purchased from CW and the sales process was agonizing. They really try to wear you down and the stack of paperwork they make you sign is staggering. Takes hours. My new Rockwood is my second TT purchased at RVOne, the first in Orlando and the second in Tampa. Both times, there were about 4 pieces of paper to sign at closing and the entire deal was done in about 15 minutes. No pressure. No BS. I will DEFINITELY buy from RVOne again. I haven't used their service department yet, but they sent a mobile technician out to fix something minor which I thought was awesome.

That's a shame. I just bought a new TT, not from CW. We arrived at the dealer at 9:45 am, looked at 3 different trailers besides the one we had our eye on, then decided to go with the one we originally de ided on. A couple phone calls to the finance company and insurance company, and we were out the door with trailer in tow by noon. No reason to take any longer than a few hours.

Almost always the tactics, attitude and integrity come from the top of any organization. Everyone looks to the top individual and emulates that in some form or another.
It's been my experience when a company is first and foremost concerned with numbers they tend to put integrity and the customer far down on the list of priorities.
