Best bang for the buck extended warranty

So far.. i am considering either a Good Sam or Cornerstone extended warranty for our 5ver..The dealer that is closest to where i live sells Cornerstone . but will honor Good Sam ..if.. that is what we purchase. Any ideas ...or experience ..with theses 2 ??..or some other company that i am missing..

Before you buy, be sure to look at the actual policies of both companies to see what the policy actually covers and what the exclusions and exemptions are and how much of a deductible there is. Look online for reviews of both companies then make your decision.

When I bought my Silverback recently the dealer offered an extended warranty through a company I'd never heard of. The dealer only had a sale brochure and not an actual policy for me to look over. The company had a website but didn't offer a policy to look at online. Needless to say I didn't buy. I did purchase the second year warranty offered through Forest River.

You should have a second year warranty from Forest River for $150.00, but many dealers don't tell you about it and Forest River told me that they don't have to!
The dealers would rather sell you a extended warranty/service contract were they make 50% of what you pay as a sales commission.
If you want one please check what they cover and just as important, what they don't cover. If I were you I would go to the Escapees web site and read all about them before you buy. Please call Forest River about the 2nd year and hear it from the them.

I'm not the type to buy an extended warranty on anything but I had to think about it when I bought my new 5er. I got a 7 year coverage on most everything with a $150 deductible for $2500 through USA Travel Care. That's like a dollar a day for insurance and it's transferable if you sell. Good bang for the buck? Only time will tell.
