Costco Visa for gas, Amazon Visa for Amazon. Chase Sapphire Reserve for everything else. It has a cost of $450 but you immediately get $300 credit for travel and free global crossing so the net cost is $130. When I first got the card, I earned $1000 by charging a certain amount the first 3 months. They have since dialed that back to $500. The amount you get in points is best used for airlines. Pointsguy.com tells you the best way to use the card.

You can get it and cancel it after the first year at no cost and you still get to use the $500.

Used my Visa at Krogers yesterday.
Perhaps they're promoting their own credit card now? It's a Mastercard. That's a card I don't have.
We're enjoying our points with the understanding that it might disappear tomorrow.

X2 on the Sam’s Club card. Mine is 5% on gas, 3% on dining and travel, and 1% on all other purchases.

I also use a Fidelity Visa, 2% on all purchases, and the Amazon Prime Store card for Amazon (5%).

The only fee I pay is the Amazon Prime membership.

The Discover Cards are free and you can get large credit limits on them. I have two one to use and pay off each month and one for any type of emergency. They have $20,000 limits and an awards program. In the past I have gotten loans from Discover that they setup to be paid back over a few years and they were at 6.99% interest rate. I have used the loans to buy real estate and paid them back in less then a year. The interest rate may seem high but if you pay them back soon I have found that they work for me and I own the property free and clear.

I say let the free market speak. If you're in business these days and you stop being competitive you wind up like Sears!

Scotiabank Visa Momentum
4% cash back on fuels and groceries, 2% on recurring bill payment, and 1% on everything else.
This year I'm due for an $1100 payment in Nov.
$140 fee, for me and my wife.
As with any card, the key is paying it off every month.
Might not be avail in the US.
