Best time to buy a Travel Trailer

I just wanted to get some opinions/feedback from other TT owners on when it would be the best time to buy to get the best price. Would it be at the RV shows? Would it be in Dec/Jan when the Dealers are slow and need to make a sale? What does the group think?

I was at the dealer shortly after a show in the area. They were slammed!
I would avoid that myself.
Maybe late Nov. or early Dec. when they could use some extra holiday cash from a sale!

After you do your research and due diligence work about price, brand, etc. any day that is good for you. I have got great deals just by walking into a dealer just to "see" and hours later, I am a new camper owner.lol (I'm in my 6 Rv)
Here in central Florida it's always Rv season! In March after the snowbirds leave to get back home, you can find great deals in used rv's and/or overstock dealers. But if the deal is good, any day it's fine!

we found that Oct.-Nov. was the best time, in our opinion.
because dealers want to get inventory down, before having lots of trailers sitting during the winter and to make room for next year's models, after winter was over.

First trailer we bought in fall of '08. Got an excellent deal. Current trailer was bought in June o this year. Again, excellent deal. I guess when it's time for the third trailer, we'll try winter. I find no consistency anymore as to when deals are run on trailers. Yes there are end of model year deals, but also various manufacturers and/or dealers will have a run of promotions.
