Black Friday Deals

I know this is an American concept gone Canadian, and thanks for that, but what deals did you get today? I picked up a 60,000 BTU stainless steel 5 burner BBQ for $159 taxes in. I'm happy.

Got a $799 Nikon D5100 camera bundle for $499. We had to fight off a woman that thought the last one was hers! It was ug-gly, but I won.

Fake Christmas tree that supposedly retailed for $200 for $69 at Home Depot. We were the yahoo who ended up taking the floor model, but we got an extra 10% off of $69 for an out the door price of $65. But, Home Depot literally was the nightmare stories of pushing, little bit if shoving and angry voices. Super short checkout line, though.

Various 1/2-priced toys and gifts for the kids.

But, most importantly- spent a fun 5 hours with my wife, just her and I out and about together while the kids were sleeping at grandma and grandpa's house.

I got a TV for my mother in law. Not too much of a bargain, was $249, I got it for $189. That's all so far. Gonna go out after lunch with Mr. Puppy to the Pet Co and see what we can find.

We picked up a LG Blu Ray player for $38, 24" & 32" televisions for $129.98 & $199. Had to replace our burglarized items out of our trailer that happened 3 weeks ago. Oh, all items bought at Walmart.

I do all my shopping online, I'm not a fan of crowds, especially when shopping. I do need to go to Home Depot for some work items, but that may have to wait until Sunday after hearing about Ependydad's adventure.

Nothing is worth the crowds for me. Sale prices will be the same after the rush of the Holidays. I believe "BLACK FRIDAY" is a sales gimmick to get people in the stores thinking they are getting a deal.

My wife had been looking at various things to get for grandkids that live out of state and noticed the prices increased a few of days ago. Today, most are back down to where they were a week ago. I guess they are trying to fool people into thinking they are getting a deal!

Got my brushed nickel Oxygenics for $30 at CW. (It's on sale and I had a $10 coupon that was going to expire on Saturday.)

"Black Friday" is now being called "Black and Blue Friday" by Fox News.

Some reports of shoppers becoming aggressive during the rush to grab specials.

Also read that an Oakland Raider football fan was beaten by four Dallas Cowboys fans yesterday at the stadium after the game - I'm as big a football fan as anyone, but that's over the line for me.

$94.00 Camping lounge chairs for $26.00 at Bob Hurly RV in west Tulsa. Also $300.00 portable ice maker ... for $189.00. Found the same ice maker at PPKRV.com for the same price. Little bit of shipping, but tax free.

I'm with you buddy. I don't deal with crowds well. I spent my Black Friday like I always do. Drinking a cup of coffee and reading the paper.

Went to Speedway and got a cup of coffee, a cup of hot chocolate, 2 warm oatmeal cookies, a bottle of water, and a car charger for my cell all for FREE! Also got $1.00 off on a purchase of gasoline. Then went home and watched football!

Cooked breakfast for grandkids. Cut down a huge white oak for father in law, helped brother in law swap out beds, hauled and set up an antique armoire for wife, helped grandkids make gingerbread house, loaded ATV in truck for morning deer hunt.
PRICELESS!
