Blue Sky RV Insurance

Anyone have Blue Sky or had it in the past? Like? Didn't like? Got a quote on Blue Sky through RVA Insurance when picking up our new TT the other day. Quote was less than what we pay with State Farm and includes replacement coverage, which State Farm doesn't even offer. Just got off the phone with a Blue Sky agent and got another $30 knocked off the premium for being a Good Sam's member and for currently being insured and willing to switch. Told him I would call him back this afternoon after speaking with my State Farm agent one more time, but this sounds like a great deal worth switching for. Anyone have any first-hand experience with Blue Sky?

Sorry I can't help you as far as Blue Sky but in my opinion they have got to be better than State Farm. Had homeowners insurance with State Farm for 20 years with no claims. Had lightning hit my A/C which cost 2K. The next year had a pipe burst and filed a claim for less than $ 500.00. They paid and then cancelled me saying I was a bad risk. After talking to others I found out this is common for them.

Never had any dealings with Blue Sky but we have had the house and 2 vehicles with State Farm for over 40 years. When we bought our trailer we called our State Farm agent and were quoted some astronomocal rate. We wound up with GMAC and have had no issues.

I just went with Sky Blue also. I call my Farm Bureau angent. We have been using her for many years. I sent her Sky's quote. She told me she could not even come close to the price they were giving me. She also told me they are a very good company to deal with. So we went with Sky. Hope never to have to use it.

I have had one claim with them and they were quick to pay. They treated me right. I believe they are an upright company

Went ahead and made the switch to Blue Sky. Lowered my deductibles on comp and collision, picked up replacement coverage, and still payed less than we were paying at State Farm for less coverage.

Blue Sky now has at least 2 new customers both with Windjammer 3008 trailers. That's who we went with also. American Family couldn't touch the price and everything I found about them was positive. Now I just hope we never have to use them.

LOL, yes let's hope we don't have to use them anytime soon. Blue Sky also offers a 24 hour roadside emergency service for $52. Seemed like a good price as well, especially when compared to Good Sam's first year discounted rate of $79.95 (whish goes up to $109.95 in the second year I believe). I opted not to get the roadside coverage due to getting a free year of Coach-Net roadside emergency service thru our dealer with the purchase of our new Windjammer, however I asked the Blue Sky rep today if $52 was the price I would pay in year when my Coach-Net expired, and he said it would be. Will have to compare emergency roadside coverages between Blue Sky, Good Sams, and Coach-Net when my free year expires to see which company offers the best bang for my buck, but at $52, Blue Sky is less expensive than both Good Sam and Coach-Net for what that's worth, but like I say, I have not compared services yet between the three. Maybe somebody else has?

How do they compare with Progressive? I just purchased a 2010 Rockwood 2280 and replacement cost on rv and contents with $250 deductible was $125/yr. IMO State Farm is a rip off. So many people buy insurance there just because of the name. Most indepedent agents can beat there prices and insure you with A rated companies.

I think everyone should shop around for thier insurance, Blue Sky was the best for me as we live in East Texas and our rates are high. So far I am pleased with Blue Sky my one claim was handled very quickly and to my satifaction. We have a 37ckqs Cedar Creek fifth wheel

Just checked, Blue Sky must not insure in Mississippi. I started to request a quote and MS is not a choice for state. Bummer!

Sorry can’t help you here. I’ve had RV insurance with The Hartford through AARP for about a decade now and wouldn’t dream of switching. Sure I’ve looked around to see if I’m missing out on a better deal, but haven’t found better value for rates than what AARP offers me.

Blue Sky RV insurance - seems ok.

I just purchased a policy from Blue Sky since they seemed to have a better price, and good coverage. 2014 Thor Super C with the Ford 7.4L Diesel. We will see how it goes. Jer in Texas
