I just renewed with them for a second year with the vanishing deductible and full cost replacement of the camper. I had my agent check them out and they are A rated. Comparable with some of the better known insurance companies, but for quite a bit lower premium. I have not had a claim, so I can not comment on the claims process.

You have two threads going here. I commented on your other one. I've had them 16 months and had to file a claim. They were right there and I am very pleased with them.

Sorry you had a claim, but good to know Blue Sky came through for you.

Thanks 1jeb. Wasn't sure how they would handle it since it was a stupid mistake on my part (along with some help from my father). Anyway, they said that's what insurance was for and paid the claim once I had a valid quote for the repairs.

I am hoping not to have to use them for this hurricane coming through tonight.

I've had blue sky for over a year. we had some hail damage and they couldn't have been better to deal with. i've also shopped around and cannot find a better price - even without some of the rv specific items in our policy.

after reading the good reports about Blue Sky I've submitted an on-line quote request to them

question however - has anyone here checked into getting RV insurance thru AARP ? (I've got 3 vehicles and my home insured thru them - had USAA previously but they priced themselves away from me) - I intend to compare AARP (the Hartford) to the Blue Sky quote after receiving it).....Bill

I wanted to look at Blue Sky but they don't write policies in NY. Did look into AARP and they were fairly reasonable. The only thing I was not crazy about is that the rep I spoke to says that they don't insure the contents of the RV and that I would have to make a claim under my home owners for any loss of contents.

I have (soon to be had) Good Sam/Gmac. I received my renewal a few weeks ago and they raised my yearly premium by about $1200/year (from $1700 to $2900). I had no accidents, no violations, no claims, I have excellent credit ratings and defensive driving course. When I contacted them they said that they 're-rated' (what ever that means) my coach which is why there was about a 65% increase. Needless to say, I am looking for a new insurer.

Bill,
What did they say about the coverage on the contents of your TT should you have an accident or fire?

I just renewed with Blue Sky in June for a 2nd year. Have not had a claim, but I just added a golf cart to my policy last month.
