I was on the similar border you were on but knew that I packed heavy so I got the 1500 blueox. Glad I did. My tongue weight is 16% and heavier than I thought it would be. Granted you would just have to replace the bars but who wants to do that on a new hitch.

If your trailer has all the storage in the front and you pack like I do then bigger is better. If storage is in the rear you are still on the bubble and have a tough choice.

Best of luck!
Good to know. Luckily ours has full pass through storage up front and a large hatch under the double wide bunks in the driver rear.

Based on those numbers, I think you’ll be okay with the 1200 or 1500, depending on the brand.

I don’t think you can go wrong with eTrailer or RVW. I have dealt with both and had good results.

Bought my Equalizer WDH from etrailer. Be sure you’re comparing apples to apples. Even though etrailer was a hair more, it included the equalizer ball as well. Their customer service is fantastic.

I ordered the dexter ez flex equalizers for our trailer from e-trailer. I ordered them in the morning then saw the price was cheaper in the afternoon. Send them an email and asked if they would adjust the price to the cheaper price. Got an email back saying absolutely. They credited my credit card the difference. Great costumer service.

Good point. Seems like when I ordered mine, they price matched a competitor’s price.

Good point. I actually noticed this slight difference. I thought Amazon was cheaper, but by the time you add in the ball you are at the same price. And from what I can tell, eTrailers customer service is pretty stellar.

Just can't make up my mind on what to get. The more I read the more my decision gets split between buying an Equal-i-Zer and Blue Ox SwayPro system.

I like the ease of the Blue Ox system, but sounds like Equal-i-Zer is much better at controlling sway (this seems subjective when reading forums). With the long trips I'll be doing Sway control is important.

On a semi-related note.. Anyone have one of these: Weigh Safe Universal Tow Ball

I don't think I would use it for actual towing (besides small trailer applications) but being able to check tongue weight before big trips would be great. But almost feel like it would be a waste of $120 if I don't use it often enough.

Why would the Equaiizer be much better at controlling sway over the BX? This is definitely not the case.

I can only speak to the Equalizer. I’ve had no issues whatsoever. Either way, I think you’ll be fine. Short of shelling out big cash for a Hensley or ProPride, Blue Ox and Equalizer are probably your best two options.

I bought my Husky Centerline 4 point wdh from RV &Auto parts for $230 shipped. Had them on my doorstep in 2 or 3 days. Happy so far.

Seems like eTrailers prices fluctuate throughout the week (seems strange but could be based on supply). But I haven't purchased from them before, but I people speak highly of them.

I was curious if they typically run any sales before the start of camping season?

Thanks
If you are still shopping take a look here Equal-i-Zer Weight Distribution Equalizer Hitch 12000# - $439.90
price does not include the Ball but even after adding the shipping they were cheaper than Etrailer.

All said and done (with shipping and ball) looks to be $25-$30 cheaper than etrailer. I can only assume they would match that in a heartbeat.

Yes great to deal with, never had a problem.

As far as etrailer matching the price they will but you have to pay their price first, then submit a link showing the lower price and they will refund the difference to your card plus 10% .
