Camping Discounts?

There are so many ways to get camping discounts I get confused which ones are really worth it.
State Parks
National Parks
Good Sams Club
KOA
?????????? We plan to camp around 8 to 10 times a year, many closer spots over a weekend with 1 or 2 bigger trips.

What do you use?

If you go to campgrounds that are Good Sam members the 10% will pay off. We are life members so we paid for our membership years ago with discounts.

State parks depend on the state many do not offer any discounts. You would have to check with your state.

KOA parks are higher priced overall than many parks but if you use them.......

Bottom line depends on how often you go camping and where will determine whether a discount will pay off or not. Only you can determine that.

If you're 62+ and visit Federal Recreation Sites (The Forest Service, the National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, US Army Corp of Engineers, and Bureau of Reclamation), Parks; it's well worth getting a senior pass.

2nd is is Passport America.

Never seen a State Parks discount unless you're disabled.
You get the same GS 10% discount with AAA.

It really depends on what kind of camping you want to do. We RV and are travelers, so I'm rarely looking for a "wilderness" experience. We get our money's worth out of Thousand Trails.

See if this helps:
