Any one get there sales flyers? Some sale I'd say. I got a new one today and just so happen to keep my last one. Been watching to buy a surge protector. Price on sale last flyer for a 50amp Surge guard was $359 flyer I got today for same item and ON SALE for $380. Go figure. And people actually buy from them. Later RJD

I bought the same type (LCD Display) of the 30AMP that is priced in that flyer for 280.00 in the Spring for 160.00. The 'flyer' was a higher price in the Spring also and I went Online and it was at 160.00 for the #81277 LCD Display. I call the local CW to see if they would price match the online sale, and they said that they would. A lot of stuff is a lot cheaper 'online' and I can pick them up at the local store through price matching.
I was at their 'Bag Sale' yesterday and the gave me the 3inch thick 'North American RV Travel & Savings Guide' for free. The price on the cover says: 29.95. (I am a 'Life Member')

The only reason I posted it was to let folks be a ware of what goes on with CW. Even tho I am also a life member I usually will not buy from them. I'm not into doing a direct install with the protector as one can protect his investment by other means.
And when I trade no problem just take out of compartment and put in new trailer Later RJD

CW is like anywhere else you have to price compare, sometimes they are cheaper but usually not. Don't buy a lot there but have bought a few things there. & I'm a GS life member too.

In my ~8 years of RV experience, I have never shopped at a Camping World. It seems to mainly be a place for suburbanite RV owners who don't know any better. Everything I've bought has either come from Walmart, ebay, Amazon, or direct from the manufacturer in a few cases.

CW has always been a good option for us Canadians near the border who make occasional trips to the U.S. The RV products they carry (and almost always have in stock) are outrageously priced at Canadian RV dealers even when they have stock. A Good Sam Club membership always gets you the 'internet price' and the GSC website nearly always has an additional 10% off everything coupon for Canadians at their border stores (just show your licence).
Not saying we can't sometimes do better buying on line but international shipping, if available at all, often kills any advantage.

Good point for the Canadian advantage... we are spoiled here in the states with free/low shipping costs becoming pretty common online.

It is a shame that the shipping cost between the US and Canada are so high. To me it is like just down the street.

Yeah I'm not sure how U.S. and Canada shipping is so astronomical but I can get cheap stuff shipped from China for almost nothing. It takes 2-3 weeks, but it doesn't cost much if I can afford to wait.
I've bought all my "coin" batteries from China ebay sellers for years now. Walmart (or anyplace that sells Duracell/Energizer) usually prices coin batteries at $3-4 for a pack of 3. Instead I usually get 10-20 at a time (generic off brand) from China for a dollar or two. Even when there's a bad one in the 10-pack, each battery only costs a dime it doesn't really matter. Last time I paid a jewelry stand $8 to change the battery in my watch, the guy selected the battery from a whole drawer full of these China brands that he had on hand. Now I change my own batteries!

I can't understand how you can get free shipping from the other side of the planet on anything in the couple-of-dollars range. The Chinese government must be subsidizing it.
I made the mistake of ordering something online from CW once. Not only was their free shipping not valid because it was an international order but they sent it via UPS which charges the highest customs brokerage rate of any of them (even when there is no customs duty). The cost was almost double by the time it got to my door.
