Champion 3400 dual fuel inverter generator prices

I'm thinking about getting a champion 3400 or 3500 but both are about $1k. Does anyone have a site I can go to get better pricing?

I feel like I've seen this question before...

Anyway, $1k is the going rate for the champion 3400/3500 inverter generators. If you by from a big box you should be able to use a 10% coupon that are readily available online.

If you hold for a bit, there may be a good holiday sale... the ads should be coming out now.

Why dual fuel? The 3400 gas only model works great.

Well, for me, its the options of course...gasoline on the dual fuel models works just as 'great' and you can use propane with these benefits:

Longer run time without refueling.
No storage issues with propane.
No rejetting the carb for high altitude.
No refueling spill mess...ever.

I bought my Champ through Costco online 2 seasons ago. Very attractive pricing.

Bought mine at Costco as well. Unfortunately doesn't appear Costco sells them online anymore.

I converted a generator to tri-fuel and learned a few things. I get a bit less run time on propane then on gas (using the same gallon amounts) . Also propane puts out less btus than gas so you might (most likely will not) get the best wattage. I found it to be a 500 or more loss in the wattage by running propane. But it stores forever..

Because I run the camper on propane mostly and already have the tanks. Why carry extra weight if you don't need to?

You can get a refurbed dual fuel model from Paul for $695. Paul is the official refurb guy for all of Champion. Awesome, great dude that will pick up the phone 24hrs a day to help you. Got my refurbed 3100/2800 gen for under $500 with less than 10 hrs on it. Most of these are Costco returns. Pay cash! He will take care of you and only sell you a solid product.

And he offers free shipping.

You won't go wrong. No affiliation, just happy customer.

They've always had theirs on sale for $1,099 (reg price= 1,200) out in Mesa, az. Seems like the normal pricing.

I want a dual fuel and the 3100 isn't dual duel. Also, I'm looking for new not refurbished - don't want some else's problem.
