Coach-Net rant...

We just stepped up to a new TT and it came with a "free" year of basic
Coach-Net roadside coverage.
I just called Coach-Net and asked about upgrading my plan to a better one.
NOPE, can't do it.
All I can do is buy a full priced upgraded plan and basically abandon my current plan. They won't give me a penny off the price compared to anyone else who doesn't have a year coming already.
Really?!?
Sometimes those guys in marketing need a good slap up side of their heads!!
ARGH!!

Sorry.... rant mode off....

The alternator went bad on my Berkshire less than one year into owning. Took out the serpentine belt also. Called Coach-Net and said I would need a tow to the nearest repair facility. They said that they did not do that. I said what and they said to bad and hung up on me. I was able to get a mobile repair service to come out and make a roadside repair or I would have had to pay for a tow. Six months latter I get a call wanting to know if I wanted to renew Coach-Net. I said no and explained why. They kept calling me back at work insisting it was a mistake. I say bull and adding insult to injury as they were bugging me during a customer day at work. Needless to say I do not use Coach-Net.

Final follow up.
I posted to the Coach-net FB page and received a phone call from them
a couple hours later.
Not much help.
The guy offered me a whopping $15 discount off their top plan.
I told him I already was eligible for $10 off the top plan because I was
a FROG member. He didn't budge. Kept saying I could always upgrade
plans in a year when my current freebie ran out.

Just seems wrong somehow. If you buy basic car insurance and call
your agent and want to upgrade they would be glad to help by letting
you pay the difference to upgrade.
Why not Coach-net?
Guess I'll just run with the freebie and re-consider in a year....

Happy Trails!

The bright side is, you are currently out $0.00 on your current plan.

They just dont have a system in place to upgrade a free to you plan the builder is paying low cost on in the first place offering it with every unit. You are out nothing to keep the basic plan for a year and renew to a higher plan (can easilly get a 20 dollar renewal discount) when the year is up. That is what I did, and even with towing on my insurance I was covered enough.

I will say the basic coverage still did well for me. My truck threw and injector on the highway one Saturday evening towing the RV. The free CN towed me to the nearest campground that evening and then sent a tow truck the next day to take my truck to the dealership for repair. Since I was not familiar to the area I was somewhat skeptical about the first shop they recommended, and was pleased when they said they would tow it to Ford much further away without question.

I think it was within a month for us. Try contacting Forest river via one of these contacts.
