I asked to pick it up on Saturday, and for that very reason they said no. I called the dealership and they said this was not the final paperwork. It was just to get the registration going. I'll see when I get up there.

I'm curious how all this worked out. We just bought from Northern VT and we live in Boston. They are storing until May for us. Our fingers are crossed that everything is good.

This is what I thought when I first read your post. To register the dealer has to transfer title. They will not do that without full payment and you should not expect them to. You may want to plan two trips up. One for PDI and payment and one for pickup if you are concerned. If you do not trust the dealer why are you buying from them?
