Did you know Forest River will give you replacement $ for tires?

Purchased a new 2015 Flagstaff TT, & never felt comfortable with the C rated tires it came with. Called FR, complained about them, & asked if they gave any money towards a new set of D rated tires. (Purchased TT June 14, called FR Aug 14.) Yes, they do, however you have to call & ASK them, they cannot make the suggestion to you. They give $75.00 per tire, so we were able to order 4 D rated tires (14") from online, sell our tires, and almost broke even!! 14" D rated tires for a TT are almost impossible to locate. Reason we purchased online. Just wanted to pass this info down so others can benefit as we did. Maybe eventually they will come standard with D rated tires.

I was just thinking about replacing the cheap tires on our mini light. Thanks for the tip, I'm going to call!

I would also like to know number and name of person as I phoned and talked to some girl and was pretty much laughed at and told NO. Even though I have a 2015 bought in September 2014.

I was looking into Goodyears for my 8289ws. I heard they were a good E rated tire

I have the GY Marathons on all my trailers,g rated on the equipment trailer,D's on the corn pro 2 horse and the enclosed sled trailer. Some of them are 6 yrs old with a lot of high speed (70mph) runs on them, never a failure of any kind.I put a new set of E's on the Merhow LQ horse trailer in august, then traded it in on the 315wp last week. One way or another, it had to have marathons!

Do you or anyone have any idea how long after the original purchase of the trailer they may do this. After reading all the posts and warnings about the Chinese tires that came on our trailer we bought last year my DW is really nervous to go anywhere with it until we buy new tires. Me a little too.

First thing is to check the birth date of the tire. Friend just bought new TT 2015 with different dated tires. His TT was not FR. Don't trust FR & Chinese tires. Go to your dealer and look at all the new TT with flats! What an eye opener. Cost me $2K, due to damage from tire failure. Upgrade if at all possible. GY has always worked for me.

Poppy94. We could only find D rated 14" tires online. Purchased 4 than had local tire place mount them.

So here is the official answer that I got on this and is really what I thought it would be. Sharon.72064 if what you posted is true then more power to you but this is what I got. So either this is not true or there is much more to your story.

"Comments made on a public forum do not reflect Forest River corporate policy. As I said before, if you have a defective part on your trailer a Forest River selling dealership or authorized service center should be contacted. If you have no defect, there is nothing I can do for you under Forest River warranty.
