Discount for BH employees?
Greetings all. Does anybody know if any of the forest river brands offer some sort of discount for employees of other Berkshire subsidiaries?

I have no idea about that. Just want to make sure that you are aware that this forum is not affiliated with Forest River Inc. and very few FR employees frequent the forum.

As was said, FRF has no affiliation with FR Inc and there are only around 5 FR employees that are members here.
Since FR only sells through dealers and not direct, I doubt that other BH could get a discount.

If you are an employee of another Berkshire Hathaway company, do you get discounts from any other BH-owned companies? BH lists a lot of subsidiary companies on their website.
BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY SUB. COMPANIES
I’d be surprised if that was a common offering between those companies, if at all. Within those companies perhaps, but not beyond to the full family of BH-owned companies. Some of those companies, like Duracell and Fruit of the Loom, don’t do direct sales to the consumer. Neither does Forest River. FR products are sold through independent RV dealers.

I'm aware, Benjamin Moore paint and a couple others have rebates/discounts through retailers. That's why I ask. With a couple hundred thousand employees at all their subsidiaries I thought maybe someone would have a little insight. My particular company is not good at updating the employee benefits section of their web site as most info is at least 5 years old.

Your profile shows that you live in St. Peters. Both Bill Thomas on I-70 in Wentzville and Camping World, just off of Highway A, near the GM plant, handle various lines of Forest River travel trailers and 5th wheels. I would suggest you contact them and ask if they have ever heard of an employee discount for employees of other BH-owned subsidiaries.

A discount off what the sticker price? There's such a big markup your better off negotiating the price on your own.

We've already been to both. Won't be going back to CW. I asked at Thomas and they were unaware of anything.
