Dish Networks Tailgait Dish

Has anyone used Dish's Tailgater automatic dish that hooks up to the Dish HD v212 receiver? I was wondering how well it really worked and how simple it really was to use. For $350 it sounds almost too good to be true. It says it only weighs 10 lbs. and you just set it outside with a southern exposure...input your location and boom it finds the proper satellite and locks on and you're ready to go. Thanks for any imput!

I was talking to a Directv rep a couple of days ago about this very thing. No personal experience, but I agree, it sounds like an awesome solution.

Did you really mean a Vip212 or did you mean a Vip211k?
As far as I know it only works with a ViP211k receiver with the latest firmware.

I got my Tailgater a few months ago and it works like a charm. I get HD and the exact same programming I get at home. Love it.

Bummer. I bought the Wingard Carryout unit last year for $600. Works fine with my Dish 211k as well, but looks like the Tailgater is half that price.
