dollars and "sense"

This is the best place I thought to add this post.

Wednesday I had my "remote power awning out" to dry it and clean it.
That night I went to put it away and where the awning fabric meets the roller it had ripped 6 to 8 inches.
This would be the only reason I wish these things were able to have de flappers.
I called my dealer Cheyenne camping center and spoke with Justin and told him what happened.
he said I'll try to get it covered under warranty but it might take a week or so.
I just got an email from him 3 hours later stating fabric was on it way!
Now hows that for service!
He stated as soon as it came in they'd put it on!
Cheers Cheyenne camping center in walcott Iowa!

Which leads me to why I posted to begin with!

My next mod is to design a power awning de-flapper stay tuned!

f1100turbo, you need to come up with something that detects the flapping and automatically rolls the awning up.

There is a motion sensor out for some awnings but its not cheap.
It will auto roll up if motion is excessive. As noted it comes with a hefty price tag.

luckily for us we have 7 dealers within a half hour drive, all carrying different makes and models and when we went shopping last summer for a new unit we started at cheyenne and visited all the dealers and ended back at cheyenne for our purchase . why you ask ?
1) Best price
2) Best trade in price
3) Customer service
4) Not pushy
5) didn't try to up sell
6) knowledgable people
7) 15% discount on accessories on day of purchase
