That really sux. Hopefully you can get it fixed soonest. If it is 8"x 15" as Crocus suggests and only surface damage, it should be a fairly cheap fix given most FR units use TPO roofing now which is very easy to patch.

yes
I need to get out for myself and take a good look

years ago with our SuperChief
first or second trip out with my wife
while on a very narrow country road
caught a large rock on the side of the road
broke the step plus a little more
for insurance purposes
I paid that one out of pocket 750.00
the sound of hitting that rock on the wife's side
going about 50 while she was reading
woke her up to RVing real fast !!!

Brought first time 5er home after owning all bumper pulls. Disconect 5er from truck and tried to pull out. Truck stopped, looked back, #%&*$#!!!!!...... tailgate. After dealer just told me "Don't forget to put the tailgate down". Happens to the best of us.

Yeah - sorry I meant 8"inches by about 15" inches. It went through all the way. I taped it up best as I could ( while standing on my 4Runner)Friday night covered with a tarp for the night. Go up next morning took off tarp and hauled it back to Restless Wheels in Manassas. They put in the garage right away. I'll know more on Monday.
Thanks for the encouaging words everyone!! cause I was so sick :/

well... The estimate is about 4,000 since the whole front piece has to be replaced and the roof has to be repaired. If I figure out how to post pics I'll put them on soon...

Oh....I'm so sorry this happened! The bright side (if there is one) is that you'll forever be very aware of the height of your camper. I agree with previous posts....why would a campground have something low-hanging when RV's have to go in and out? Hope your repairs go smoothly and you can get back on the road soon.
