Extended Warranties (Looking for opinions from those who bought or will buy them)

Please, we have already decided to get an extended warranty, so don't need advice that it is a waste of money.

I am looking to get an extended warranty for a new Crusader 315RST. I went to Wholesale Warranties and I have the paperwork from the one offered at the dealer. Other than cost, the coverages are pretty close. Both are Exclusionary Policies with similar additional benefits). The differences are: The one through Wholesale Warranties offers Consequential Damage and I asked if they offer any policy to cover the frame or any structural failure (we'll see what they say). The one from the dealer offers some framing coverage for faulty welds, but no consequential damage.

I believe the consequential damage coverage may be better, because it still covers the parts, even if the damage was caused by a non-covered part. Say, if the slide binded somehow and bent the slide piston, burned out the motor, etc.

The frame failure would be nice, but doubt if it would happen after the first year.

By the way, the one through Wholesale Warranties is about $2600 for 7 years and the one through the dealer is about the same price for 5 years.

What do y'all think?

Thank you in advance!

Paid $1700 for 5 years through the dealer. The extra year that FR offers does cover the frame, which is why I got that as well.
Our warranty is from Route 66.

We did it as well, 5 years for 1700. I was against it but wife wanted it. Now that we have it I can say it is peace of mind as our factory warranty just expired.

Our 2005 Cardinal is still under warranty by United Warranty. We have had a few claims and very satisfied with them. Even when one landing jack failed out of state they worked with me covering a big chunk of the cost to upgrade to new individualy controlled legs.

My son manages an RV repair shop and he says "They don't make them like they used to, so get the warranty. But get the one that covers EVERYTHING except what is listed, not the one that covers only what is listed. Some warranties don't cover jacks and slides, and they are the first items to fail."
