Thought it would be fair to update this post. After a few persuasive emails to FR, they have offered me the 2 year warranty. It is $250; I don't know if they offered because I made a stink or if they have decided to cover all Coachmen tts. I am happy to gain the additional year's coverage.

My question is: Where did you find an email to contact them with? I've looked high and low on their site and have come up empty.
I'm picking up my new Salem next week so I'd like to find out if the $150 extra year applies.

Cheers,
Mike

In order to gain information about the 2 year warranty I contacted Coachmen via their website. I am not sure of the agreement or arraigment FR has with the Coachmen name but they seem to run it as a seperate entity. Sorry that I can 't help with your Salem. Be advised that the warranty cost me $250 but for the additional security, it seemed like a no-brainer to me.

The place to start is with your dealer when you pick up your new unit. The application form should be with your paper-work pouch. Check and make sure. If it's not, then demand that they supply it. Some dealers "overlook" it in the hope that they can sell you a $2-3k service plan. Also, somewhere on this forum, there is a link to the application form (pdf file, I think)

Added --- found the link: http://www.disruptiveweb.com/images/warranty_addon.pdf ( thanx to Herk for posting it a while back)

Great info and thanks, just new to this site but have had FR product before. Now we are waiting for the new 2012 Rockwood Sig Ultra Lite 8312ss. We are in Manitoba Canada and our dealer tried to see us the extra 5 yr warranty for $1800.00 and now break on the price. We decided no and now I have this great info of the added year for $150.00. Would anyone care to e-mail me the insurance companies in Canada that would give extended warranties. Thanks

Fellow Canadians: how did you make the $150 payment? Postal money order in US funds, or ???

I'm trying to contact FR, but it is almost impossible to find any contact info.
I've tried calling the factory in Oregon and left a message on their voice mail but haven't heard back yet.
We have the form filled out (the dealership did not supply one..."Oh, it's in the packet you have"....NOT) and want to get it sent off ASAP.

Thanks,

Mike

I bank with TD, and set up a US Dollar chequing account. I went with one that charges $1 per transaction; but has no monthly fees. When I set it up they gave me 3 or 4 couter cheques.

The added bonus is I also have a PDF copy of the cancelled cheque; just in case there are issues down the road.

Hey Ken,

Did you ever get any confirmation from FR saying that you were indeed covered for the extra year?

I have two calls into FR and have yet to hear back.....sigh.
May just send a Postal Money Order and be done with it.

Mike
