Extended Warranty?

I have heard that some manufactures offer an extended warranty thus extending the warranty time frame from one year to two for a cost of only a couple of hundred dollars.

Does anyone know if this is an available option offered by Forest River? We just purchased a new Wildcat and would sure jump on it if it is offered.

Did your Dealer tell you about the F/R 2nd year Warr.? Did the dealer tell you about FROG? Have you used this dealer before? Youroo!!

jonrjen, FR has been offering the 2nd year factory warranty for years but dealers "omit" telling customers about it, because they want to sell them a 3rd party extended warranty that the dealer gets a big commission on.

this happens quite often and this is discussed here constantly and it's a shame that there are so many dealers that are so dishonest.

To purchase the Protection Plan: Call Forest River at 574-534-3167 and talk to Rhonda. She can take a Visa/MC on the phone. Note: It's been a while since I used the number so it may have changed along with the employees. Also noteworthy is that the cost varies by product line. It was $250 for my Cedar Creek and worth every penny. You have 10 days from the date of purchase to opt in.

Most of my dealing with this dealer has been via phone and internet. I am in Texas the dealer in Muskegon, MI. The subject of the extended warranty never came up, they never tried to sell me an extended third party warranty. I had thought though that I had read of the FROG offering of a 2nd year extension and have forgotten to ask the dealership about it, thus the question here.

They have been great to work with and we look forward to our Wildcat to be delivered this coming Monday.

I tried to educate myself before contacting the dealership and I think I did a pretty decent job of doing so.

As for the dealership and my sales person I would be happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used RV.
