Extended Warranty

I'm in the process of purchasing a 2015 Flagstaff 425D pop up camper and was told that for $100.00 (ck payable to Flagstaff) I can purchase an extended warranty. Has anyone purchased this? What does the extended warrenty cover and for how long? Thanks

well, you're one of the few whose dealer actually mentioned it. most dealers don't even mention it and try to sell a 3rd party extended warranty.

it's not really an extended warranty. it's a second year of the factory warranty and is the same as the original one-year factory warranty.
and it's payable to FR, not Flagstaff.

it's a no-brainer for $100 for popups and $150 for travel trailers.

Not only did my dealer mention it but they bought it for me. It took a bit over 5 weeks but I got the form back in the mail, signed, from Forest River last week.

As BIKENDAN stated, it's a wise decision. I have it and my TT is being serviced under the second year warranty today.

I could not locate the womans name/phone # at Forest River who handles the extended warranty. You can actually give her your credit card number and she will activate the extended warranty. Call Forest River in Indiana and they will transfer you to her desk. VERY efficient lady! You must deal directly with F.R. and not the dealer.

VERY good decision to gain this cheap protection. My dealer charges $119.00 per hour shop labor. The extended warranty is/was $150.00! A "no brainer" decision!

Supposedly, you have a time limit of ten days to secure the extended warranty from date of unit purchase. BUT, I have read numerous postings stating F.R. will allow you a reasonable time to secure the extended warranty.
