factory New 2015 model

We found a factory new trailer that we are interested in. I assume that the one year and second year warranty are available for us. Can any one verify that?

Also, any suggestions on how to price a new trailer that is 2 years old? It doesn't help that this model is not being made this year.

Whatever the dealer is willing to sell camper for, if it was your camper how much would you be willing to lose. It all comes down to what the dealer is going to lose. I still think you can get the second year warranty, it is after all a brand new camper

We just purchased a 2015 V nose and were able to purchase second year warranty. Take extra care on PDI as we found extra things that need to be addressed due to lot rot. Make sure the price is right. Compared to a "new new" unit I'm sure we saved an additional $6000 as dealer needed to move unit.

Other thing we looked at was date it was manufactured. If it has been at a dealer for a while were any parts taken out to be used in other trailers that were sold. Has it been used at a RV Show? The china bomb tires are now older and were probably in the sun. The dealer has been paying interest on it if it has been sitting there a while. Pay what you think its worth and don't be afraid to walk away. If they really want to move it they can stop you from driving away or phone you as you drive off their lot.

If it is a 2015 model you can likely find it in the NADA Recreational Vehicle used price guide - available online if you Google it. Since the coach is new, the upper side of the used listing is probably applicable. Remember, if you were going to sell it, whether you are the first owner, or the 2nd or 3rd wouldn't change the price AND the NADA value is RETAIL. The ones I have priced have all be less than the high side of the NADA used price.

it was REALLY frustrating. It almost seemed like they didn't want to sell the camper. The Camper next to it was parked so close, it wasn't possible to fully open the door. The bed was missing. I understand not keeping everything on the lot in pristine condition, but there was enough bird crap on the fifth wheel to be concerning. You would think that if they knew someone was coming to look at it, they might at least go in it and make sure things look good.

also, there was a show price still written on the window.

I have never felt like a salesmen didn't want my money until Saturday

DW is frustrated and wants to stop shopping after our visit

Don't be discouraged.
Look at it as a sign.
If they were not willing to clean it up for you to look at and not willing to negotiate on a unit that has been sitting there that long... you need to RUN from that dealer as quickly (and as far) as possible. You would have had nothing but hassles. You only get one chance to make a first impression. They blew theirs!

Find another dealer and another unit and be happy!
