Fair price on a Mini Lite 2504S

My wife and I decided on the Rockwood Mini Lite 2504S for our first trailer based on the fact it had an aluminum frame, slide out dinette and much more storage than some of the comparable other trailers we found. However, the dealerships want $2500 to $5000 more in comparison to the discounted prices for the other ones. What percentage of retail should I expect to pay for this brand and why is it so much more?

Since when do Mini Lites come with an aluminum frame? Mine doesn't.

2016 Rockwood Mini Lite 2504S Travel Trailer by Forest River Stock# 406357 Inventory - The Original RVWholesalers

Here is one for 27K.
Literature on Rookwood's web site says aluminium frame.

Yea it does, filon sides on aluminum frame.
If it had a wood frame, it would have aluminum siding (stick and tin), not filon sides.

OK, I get it - he means "aluminum frame construction" (per my FR brochure), not the FRAME.

Usually when "frame" is mentioned, it means the C-channel or I-beam frame under the trailer. (Usually mentioned in response to attaching a vinyl fence post sewer hose holder, bike rack discussions - let's not go there, or FW/Grey/Black tanks falling off.)

Whew! Glad we cleared that up!

I would say that the one that RVW has will be priced somewhere close to $18,000. Most buyers are looking for prices that are 70% (or 30%+) or less from MSRP. RVW will be close to 65% of MSRP.

Thanks for clearing that up, as I was not clear. He needs to call or email & ask RVW what their price is. They are hard to beat $$ wise. My dealer met their price as we were leaving.

The next important thing you want to check after price and floorplan is service. Go talk to the service manager/tech to see how they handle warranty problems and what kind of backlog/wait times they experience and what do they stock in spare parts.

I used this site as a guide when I bought my 2504s, it was posted by another member. we love ours. I ordered my 2504s with all the options I wanted from a dealer that was willing to make a few hundred for basically doing the paperwork and doing the walk thru with me. I paid for it when it came in so they really didn't have any time or money tied up. they must have gotten a better deal because of show pricing or something because my paperwork showed my cost to be barely above the dealer invoice calculated by that site and my unit is a 2015 and I paid $19500 out the door(included 6% sales tax, plate, registration, battery, (2) 30lb filled propane tanks, wdh and brake controller)

Hope you were able to find a good deal for your 2504s. We bought our new 2015.5 last February and have traveled about 7,500 miles this year. We actually went to the Millersberg, IN factory to see it come on line. We ordered ours with all options except for the slide topper. Having put on now for next year. Our TT cost with propane, battery and Equalizer WD hitch was $18,300. That was about $1500 less than anywhere else. Dealer has great service after the sale and we are very happy with our 2504s.
