First Time buyer

Hello FR Community
I have a general question regarding Class C purchase. I have narrowed my list to the Isata, Forester and Prism.

I am a grandma and will be using this primarily with my grandchildren. I need a reliable vehicle. I like the Mercedes Benz chassis and quality. I need the bunk over cab and levelers. Is the extra cost worth it with the ISATA? I like the single slide...more walking room.

Thanks for your advice in advance.

Let me first say that I AM a HUGE Mercedes Benz fan. My wife and I both drive them daily and they are the last cars we've bought. Hers is a 1999 and mine is a 2000, both with over 200,000 miles on them. Nothing but oil changes and minor repairs in 18 years. That said, a year ago when we were looking to buy and RV we first looked at all the MB models. Yes they are nice, but most are lacking in storage space and you are VERY limited as far as cargo weight. The chassis is basically maxed out as delivered. There are other drawbacks....generator and towing capacity. We went with a Ford and Forester.

I work for the major Detroit competitor of Ford but will say that they are very good build quality and value. I wish GM had more entries in the motorhome market. *I work for GM but do not speak for GM, my views are my own.

Thank you!

The MBS is very pricey along with the quality. I will look at the Ford and compare.

My DW has a 2013 Mercedes E350 and she loves it. Me I don’t like it, if something was to happen to her it would be back to the dealer fast. I had rather ride in my 3500 Silverado.
