Foremost Insurance

I just purchased a Rockwood Roo 23ss and recieved a quote for insurance from Foremost Insurance. Has anyone had experience with this company? I live in MA, just wondering if anyone had recomendations regarding insurance.

I use Good Sam for my truck, BHs auto and the fiver. It is RV insurance and not just RV added to an auto policy. Many want/need replacement conerage. Good Luck

Foremost was purchased by Farmer's so it is reliable. However, I got a quote from them through my independent agent and Good Sam as well. Good Sam was just under $300 for the year and Foremost was over $800. Same coverage basically, full replacement value. Actually the Good Sam was a little bit better in the overall points on the coverage so I went with them.

We have our house insurance with Foremost, and on the two claims we've ever had to make, we rate their service as fantastic. Of course the motor side might be different.

On my 5er that I purchased I had Foremost. It was a sensible decision based on the fact that I had my home and cars insured by Farmers. Until......The initial quote was quite reasonable. When the renewal came in it was about 20% more. I got a new quote from Good Same that was less than my original cost at Foremost. Even my Farmers agent told me I should switch, so I did. Good Sam covered more than Foremost did anyway. I also like the way you can suspend Good Sam during the down season.

I have foremost on my mobile home....had a large claim due to hail damage last year and they were reasonable to deal with. Pays to shop around though.

We have Farmers for the house and cars and Foremost for the RV, including road service. We had extensive tree damage to our prior TT and they were fantastic getting it fixed.

We had a road service call on the GT and again they took good care of us. We are definitely ahead on rhe cost and very satisfied with the service.

Is Good Sam a Insurance CO., or do they write polices for another Ins. CO.?

Good Sam is not an Insurance Co. Good Sam has insurance companies that underwrite policies for them. For example, Good Sam trailer insurance is actually insured through National General (previously GMAC). If you have a claim, you go to to National, not Good Sam. Your payments are made to National not Good Sam. IMO it's nice to have Good Sam's name connected that you can solicit if you're not satisfied with the service.

We had Formost for six months and they jacked the price up twice from the original quote. Got a great quote from Good Sam, and even my insurance agent advised me to drop his insurance for Good Sam. How's that for an honest ethical insurance agent?

I had state farm but they kept pushing my rates up and I had zero claims so I left them and switched to Geico and so far they have been good (saved over $400 a year too for the same coverage) - I use the automatic debate so I never forget to pay them. They have both my truck and trailer insured.

I have Progressive on everything including the MH but I think I will contact Good Sam. Just a note for anyone planning to move to FL; Farmers doesn't cover anything in FL.
