The first time I called FR about the second year warranty I was told that dealers are not required to inform customers about it.

Sorry but I don't know about the Coachmen Catalina being covered or not.

since Coachmen was a brand recently acquired by FR, it's my understanding that you only get the one year that Coachmen always had before FR bought them. just like Prime Time, Shasta.

I always heard that you had to purchase the 2nd warranty within the first 10 days, but others have posted they received the warranty after that by contacting FR. Here's some numbers you can call.
Forest River Ph. Number, 574-389-4600
Rockwood & Flagstaff (219) 533-5934
We picked or new flagstaff today . We had paid 2000 dollars for the 5 yr extra ride warranty . Today I told the mgr I was canceling and wanted a refund , he got pissed!!!! In his office I call forest river and they sent over the app for the 2 nd yr warranty. Will send it in tomorrow . I may go with good Sam after 2 yrs??
I believe some of his profit was in that warranty?

however as posted before - good luck in getting service. I've got 4 worn tires in less than 2000 miles from factory to home and one campground then parked and can't get FR to return my calls or emails. Still waiting on Sept 11 invoices of less than 125 to be repaid.

Good Sam is a better option by all accounts.

If the dealer sells you an extended warranty from some third party they will receive about 50% of the cost as a commission. That is why the don't tell you about and yes the Forest River Rep that I spoke to stated that they are not required to tell you about it. He also said to print the form from the link above and send it in very soon after you take delivery. It seems that they know the dealers don't inform the buyers.

Are the tires DURO? What size and pictures would tell a lot if you posted them.
I have almost 12,200 miles on my Chinese Duros and they hardly show wear. But I do insure they have the posted PSI at all times.

Wow I sure am glad I read this post! I am going to pick up my Grey Wolf 19rr in about 2 weeks and the dealer failed to inform me of this additional 1 year warranty. He is however trying very hard to sell me a 3rd party extended warranty! I'm not sure if I should ask him about this or just deal with Forest River directly. I hate all the BS that car dealers and RV dealers pull. I went out and got my own financing as well which I don't think he liked. They make a cut off that as well. Does anyone know if the form on this post is still good? I love this forum and learn something new here everytime I visit!

For the price of the "after market" warranties, I think I'll keep my money; my DH is very handy.

If the qoute is still in reason , we will take a look at it. She quoted me a really cheap price for the coverage they have ?
After 2 yrs we will see if any major problems have occured

Thanks again! My peace of mind has been extended as well.

Take care,
Terie

We bought a Rockwood windjammer in December of 2011.The dealer did not tell us about this warranty.I just called FR,had the operator direct me to the rockwood warranty dept, gave them the last 7 # on vin,and paid with a credit card.......done deal!

Thanks from this end for a lot of heads up work from you folks.

I bought the Forest River extended warranty for my Grey Wolf 19RR. The dealer acted suprised when I asked him about it and the form was no where to be found in all the paperwork that came with the trailer. He tried to talk me out of it and buying one of his 3rd party warranties. I filled it out myself and sent it in with my $150.

I pick up my Roo 233s tomorrow. Curious if dealer will mention this (as they only quoted us for their "7 year" extended warranty and told us that there is ONLY 1 year manufacturer warranty). Does anyone know for sure if the optional 2nd year is available to Canadians?

Thanks 09grizzly1. Ours is stock off the lot (not ordered). If they don't give me a form, i'll likely try peaeye's method (phone and pay with cc)... probably easier with fluctuating exchange rate anyway.
