No, the FR 2nd year warranty is only available for FR products before 2008.
FR acquired Coachmen, Dynamax, Shasta and Prime Time during the last Recession.
They let them offer whatever warranty they had already been offering before the acquisition.
They are not a part of the original FR family.

Your info is correct, however I bought mine 11 months after I bought TT. Fill out paperwork & mail in, you have a 50/50 chance, nothing to loose.

Looks like they might be the "misfits" of FR????

Does anybody know if this warranty will cover the clear coat on my rims. 1 rim is peeling and I am considering making a claim. Just wanted to know how far I am going to get?

My trailer is stored 40 miles away and would have to drive out there to get pictures. Don't want to waste my gas for nothing

Mine is at dealers with rim clear coat problems, along with other warranty issues, waiting to hear if FR will cover the rim problem. FR's 2nd year warranty only mentions tires, nothing about rims.

I bet they don't / won't cover clear coat rims. I know the OEM vehicle (truck) manufacturers don't and never have.

Clear coated rims are lazy person's polish. Nothing more. In fact, I strip mine and buff them every few years. Lots easier and looks better to boot.

Yes I noticed it mentions axles and tires, but there is something between those 2 things called a rim....that is why I was asking if anybody had any luck.

Keep me updated if you don't mind?

I'd say that they are not covered by FR. It would come under the manufacture of the rims and then I doubt they will. Later RJD

What can you lose by trying?? It is a component.

After warranty (2 yr) had several repairs completed at no charge. ( by FR) . Never know unless you are willing to try and not rely on others experiences.

This "may" Be our last rv; but, I would recommend FR as my first choice 👌

I requested a faxed copy of the 2nd year application and was told that it wouldn't be accepted because it was past 10 days. I asked for it anyway. Filled it out and stated that the 2nd year had not been offered by the dealer, which it had not, and that I just found out about it on this forum. That was 11 & 1/2 months after purchase. Two weeks later I received the application back, approved!!! Another reason I love this forum!! You never get what you don't ask for!

Contact FR, my rims are 2 yrs old & all 4 are being replaced. FR does the leg work, rim manufacturer is footing the cost.

Great forum and I just saw this. I bought mine 2 months ago but have not even used it yet. I Emailed Forest River to see what they have to say. But the address of mvendl@forestriverinc.com is not any good any longer so I just used the contacts at the Froest River Site.

WOW just saw this. My dealer only wanted right at $5000 bucks and NEVER mentioned the FR extended warranty, that should be a criminal offense.

Will try to sort out tomorrow ASAP!

What make do you have? Not all brands under the FR umbrella qualify for it.
No Dynamax, Coachmen, Shasta, Prime Time or Viking products qualify for it.

You can download the form from the FRF library here:

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...do=file&id=175

Just fill it out and send it in with a check for the proper amount.
