I would never trust one again that did me like that. Repairs needed etc. would go else where because more than likely "those types" will jack you up.

We sent check and the form to Forest River on our 2018 Flagstaff Super Lite. Forest River sent the check and form back to us and said that second year warranty is no longer offered. And happy camping in your new Wildwood.

And a lot of others luck as well.
The 2nd year extended warranty hasn't been available on most models for over a year.

As I recall, this is a state regulation thing. Some states do not like the extra year warranty thing...they classify it differently. So thank wonderful regulations.

Of course FR could just raise the price the $150 or whatever it was and offer a 2 year warranty standard then they avoid the "insurance" issue with the states.

Rapes, murder, natural disasters, UE rate, taxes and a JILLION things that your elected officials from city to state need to be on top of and working on and they are sitting there discussing the 2nd year warranty on RV's...EXCUSSSSE me is that the real real problem here?????

Glad we had our 2 year warranty!
We had our 2017 Mini Lite 2503S in 2x for warranty work & this week extended 2yr ends. Glad we had it! First issue lfirst year using RV, slide out leaking. 2nd issue (this past October), water pump not working properly. We got to our repair shop week before it was expiring. At this time we asked them to check everything including underbelly. Worried sbout supports, but that turned out fine. However, reason for water pump failure were the hoses were kinked. That is something you wont see until its all taken apart.
TIP: Have it thoroughly inspected by own shop as soon as you buy it..it’s obvious the lack of quality control by big huge corporations who want to pass on problems to consumer. We had several other issues which we just fixed ourselves. We love our RV but are very disappointed with company. Hoping we don’t “discover” anything major going forward!

wow...that escalated quickly
I actually think it was just rules on the books for a couple of states. Since FR sells to 50 states we have to make them comply with all.

llr's reply made the most sense. Bet you couldn't find one person to object to that. If you do, we'll hold him down while sense is applied.

At a dealer Tuesday. Pitched an aftermarket service contract program with Protective Asset that goes 84 months (7 years) and costs $5,612. 10 percent down, $280/month for 18 months no interest. Must have a lotta trouble to justify that cost. It covers everything though and service anywhere. Some TV coverage as well.

Until you try to use it.... be sure you read the fine print.

Class C
We are picking up our class C Sunseeker tomorrow. I wonder if this extended $150 warranty will be offered!

1. If you had read the last third of the posts in the thread, you would have seen that it was discontinued around May, 2017.
2. It was never available on Motorhomes, only on towables.
