The fridge offer was on the last page of the Dometic manual. Can't recall on the A/C.

Price I paid was $169.90 ($56.63/yr.) for 3 years on the fridge and $89.95 ($29.98/yr.) for 3 years on the A/C. Fridge warranty includes labor and A/C warranty excludes labor.

The primary reason I purchased the fridge warranty is the fridge on mine is located in a slide with exhaust of heated air through the side wall instead of the roof. Probably fine but it just looks like the fridge will be working really hard.

Salesman love this tactic. It *only* makes your payment go up by $13.

Nevermind the fact that you'll likely still be paying that extra $13 every month long after the warranty is up. Or the fact that you are also paying interest on that $13 every month.

You certainly made the right choice.

I purchased the warranty on my current trailer, but am curious if it's available on 5'ers too? Would be a no brainer to get it on my new one if available.

Thanks phenom... $250 for the sandpiper still a no brainer in my book!

As warranties go it's a good deal. Don't know why they don't just offer a 2 yr to start with and build it into the price.

This is not the standard warranty. The 2nd year warranty is an Extended Warranty and does not cover your camper "Bumper to Bumper". That is what a FR rep told me. It is still a good deal but not the same as the 1st year warranty.

don't know who the rep was, but as far as i know, the 2nd year FR warranty is the same bumper to bumper warranty, as the first year.

it has always just extended the original 1st year factory warranty.

mine was bumper to bumper.

For those wanting a "Bumper to bumper" protection plan (with roadside assistance, medical evacuation, and a whole slew of other a la carte options) take a look at Coach Net (which is the company that provides the FR 1 year warranty in the first place )

Here is my POC at Coach Net - she attends the Goshen rally and is a really good person to deal with!

So, is there any information we the prospective buyer can infer from this list?
Why would a Vibe be $250 vs a Wildwood at $150?

Is this a reflection of the higher cost of the trailer?
Or a reflection of the higher risk to Forest River?
That is more claims= higher warranty costs= higher fee...

Really?! $100 cost difference would change a buyers mind? Don't think so. There is some innocuous meaning within the FR builds.
My 2015 Silverback was $250. And, by the way, covers almost everything the 1st year did. Many of the components; refer, air, etc have terms longer than 1 yr.
FR replaced my cap with a 2016 cap ( my choice ) after a full repaint and fade "again" ( cocoa brown ).
We are going to the Rally again this year for more tweaks.
Our previous 2011 Keystone had issues as well, without benefit of good factory field support. THEY DID AUTHORIZE MOBIL REPAIRS WHILE WE WERE IN AZ. So, my opinion is speak nice; take notes and people usually reciprocate. FR seems to be a step ahead ( just an opinion ). I would buy EITHER again, depending on desire and floor plans.

So would the Cruise Lite not be offered or is it considered under Salem?

Considered a Salem so it is available.
Cruise Lite isn't the manufacturer, Salem is.

Not sure if it has been previously mentioned, but we took a look at our friends new Surveyor a few days ago at a local campsite. And of course it already leaks. But they said they got the extended factory warranty at a price of around $1500. It covers all items for 7 years, not 2.
Anyone else have this plan?

They have been "Hornswaggled" by their Dealer if they Paid 1500$ as it is NOT a F/R Factory Warr! Youroo!!
