Well Crappo, I Emailed forest river about the extended warranty (that my dealer did not tell me about) and they said sorry it has been longer than 10 days since you purchased it. I wish I had seen this thread before I bought the unit.

I guess another option would be just to mail in the form (which says 90 days from purchase) and see what happens. Hey the worst that could happen would be they tell me to pound sand again and keep my $150.

lomax... I would send it in and give it a try. You are the 1st I've heard of to be turned down.

If their own form says 90 days how could they turn it down?

Do they offer an extra year warranty on their Motor Homes as well or is this limited to TT?
Thanks

It appears to me that any warranty is only as good as the repair facility that does the repair and reading through the many posts on this site, it also appears that most facilities are less than stellar, much less....

Perhaps, but with the FR second year warranty, if it's available on your unit, you have the option to have FR refer you to another dealer or for big repairs you can go back to the factory.

X2, cheap insurance for the large component / appliance replacement or repair.

Then you should qualify for the 2nd year factory warranty.

That is a very popular floor plan this year ....there are several brands offering it from $40k to $80k have been seen - nice

Extended Warranty Plan - 90 day from purchase date

Mailed my $150.00 check and completed extended warranty form into Forest River Inc. yesterday. The FR optional extended warranty plan was not communicated to me when I purchased my trailer in Dec. 2016. Very disappointed in the dealer for not informing me about this option. This extends the original warranty coverage for additional 12 months. Has to be purchased within 90 days from purchase of trailer. Attached form is what I received from FR representative yesterday. So glad I read about this option on this forum site.

Here is hoping for all of us. I was told over the phone and via Email by two different people at Forest River that the extension warranty could only be filed within 10 days of purchase. However the form they just sent you, the same one I mailed in, says 90 days. Interesting their lack of communication within ???

I guess I will just wait and see if they accept the one I sent in or reject it. I hope yours works out also.

Make a copy of the registration form and take it with you, have the dealer fill it out, that will make his day. Remember that just about all appliances come with a manufacture 2nd year free. So FR really loses nothing. the best part of it is for them to correct their workmanship. It's the cheapest and best thing to buy, he is going to try and sell you a 3rd party because they get a kick back 99% of dealers will try that. Good luck on your PDI Saturday...
