yea. Fuel prices suck. They pretty much always have and pretty much always will.
I don't the oil companies their profits and not just because I do have some of their stocks. Trust me the profits on those don't come close to paying for my fuel, but I do know that net profit has to be put in context with the total investment. Otherwise known as return on investment or ROI.
If you have many billions in investment/assets(and they do), you should expect billions in profit. According to my neighbor(he's in the bidness), profits are generally in the 7-9% range over the ups and downs.
Fuel prices do suck and always will, but, at least we're not trying to push down the road with wind or solar power.
