Don't come to Canada then...let's see, $1.35 per litre x 3.78 litres in a gallon = $5.10 a gallon! Holy cow, why am I in Canada again? haha

I'm sure the fact that we're coming into prime vacation time has nothing to do with it........coincidence, right.

The REALLY bad thing about it,
the speculators in Chicago don't even own cars much less an RV!

I don't let the price of fuel bother me too much, as higher oil prices mean that my oil stocks are worth more!
I might spend a few hundred bucks more on fuel, but my stocks with go up a hundred times as much.
Bring it on!

Doesn't anyone find it odd that a lot of us live in areas where oil is pumped, refined and distributed to the local stations without any dependance on the import of foreign crude. Yet, we still are victim to the whims of spot oil price increases every time some arab has a !wet fart! or some other inconsequential non event. So much for energy independence? The speculators and the big oil elites are making obscene profits and we're all paying the price.
Quoted from ABC, "Chevron and Total wrapped up a string of gargantuan, record-breaking earnings reports from oil companies on Friday, a stretch in which six of the major international oil companies topped $50 billion in combined profit for the first time. Chevron CVX reported revenue rose significantly to $82.9 billion from $56.1 billion a year ago."
The benefits from minimal dividend profits to a very few folks do not outweigh the enormous negative effects caused by this price gouging.
Apologizes for the rant, but it's time we recognized the problem for what it is...Pure Greed

Filled up my truck today and the diesel I paid $3.09 for last week was $3.46 today. Gas for the car last week $2.96 and today it was $3.19. I have to believe the rumor is true that it is going up. Guy at station told me they expect another 30 cent rise next week.

Another excellent example of the wealthiest (making up a very, very small % of the population) getting richer and richer in North America!
