There's a "fun to modify" factor too...I picked up an electric Club Car DS and had it completely apart a week later...new paint, brake lights, reverse lights, custom dash, steering wheel etc etc. Our seasonal cg doesn't allow gas or I'd have one.

There are several campgrounds including many state and federal parks that do not allow golf carts. I have a star 48 volt LSV that is registered, plated and insured as a vehicle in ohio, so I have been able to use it at any campground and any local, state, or federal road with a speed limit of 40 mph or less. It runs about 25mph and I have drove it around town several times. Wish it would do around 35.

We have a folding rear seat with buggy top clubcar. Its a 2010 clubcar the batts were replaced with trojans (yeah I checked the date code!). Has factory light kit and rear view mirror. No marks or dents on the body, basicaly looked new.He had 24 to choose from for $2400 ea. Many campgrounds wont permit gassers because of stink, leaks, noise, and speed. It will run 20mph which is 5 mph faster than I think you should run in a camp anyway. They were/are all trades from country clubs. He sold and serviced the new ones ,rotateing them out 4 yrs or sooner.Gotts to like the al chassis!

Our batteries are 5 years old & going strong. General rule is 5-10 years on battery live. Our golf cart dealer recommended charging at least monthly while not in use.

Also any cart insurance is required at most campgrounds that will usually run $50 - $150 annually.

Club Cars & EZ Go's have the best parts availability and after market goodies.

Tooling around is so much fun. Riding around Grand Rivers KY, exploring the miles of gravel roads in LBL, or even finding an immature bald eagle. Great family fun.

79 clubcar

Dont wanna leave an unfinished thread. So here is the end game for now.

This just fell in to my lap on the cheap.
Had to install new batteries and it will need tires. I can say its the only one like it at the cg.
At first we thought we would be the laughing stock of the cg. But most of the fellow campers think its kinda cool. They tell me to get a custom paint job and some mags.

Im thinking more along the lines of drive it for year and then maybe trade up.
Either way this is the cart for now.

Love it. You could put decals on it rather than paint it. How do you tow it?
