Like many others, I used the 6 cents/gal discount at Pilot/Flying J stops. Then one day I realized that the 4% rebate on my Costco card was a far better deal, and worked at all gas stations. So even $2.50 gas works out to 12 cents/gal returned and I don't have to worry about yet another bill to pay.

Yes, CG discounts cover the annual membership. I have my insurance through them as well. Their CS service has been great. Also, as an Elite member the 9 cents off diesel at Pilot/Flying J are great. The Pilot/Flying J card is fantastic for diesel and DEF at the pump. I do buy stuff when on sale both catalog and at stores. I use their card for fuel, CG rents for the gift cards. No fan of the CEO but the people in sales, parts, and service at the 2 outlets I mostly frequent are great.

Well, AAA gets you the same 10% campground discount as GS. Every campground/RV park with a GS discount, that we've been to, gives the same discount to AAA members.
Amazon has better prices than the GS prices at Camping World.

Nobody has mentioned the discounts @ Gander Outdoors. What I saved on one pistol purchase the Saturday after Black Friday would have paid my lifetime membership.

Mike

That included using their CC. I just cashed in 5000 points for a $50 gift card also.

Had a blowout on my 5th wheel Cardinal in heavy traffic in Houston. Tried to use my Good Sam roadside service. It was pure crap. They could not find a service company in Houston so calling 911 I had a county cop escort me off the ramp to a side street. I changed the tire myself. Camping World is grossly overpriced. Amazon much better for same stuff. I still have my GS membership but probably won't renew.

Probably because there are hundreds of threads here, asking the same question. So it has been discussed many times, with the same answers.

Imho - yes.

We use the fuel discounts and a favorite RV park offers the Good Sam discount.

Not understanding this running theme

So let me get this straight: a $99 Amazon prime membership that gives you nothing but free shipping is better than a $29 Good Sam membership that gives you free shipping and much more?

BTW, I never pay for shipping on Amazon, and don’t pay for prime either.

Just my Prime Visa card alone pays for Prime membership with the 5% many times over. I spent nearly $9k on Amazon last year. Not even going to talk about Prime video and Prime music. Not even comparable to the Camping World membership. Worth way more.

Can beat Flying J fuel prices by more than 6 cents a gallon in most towns. Wouldn't buy anything from Camping World as could easily find it way cheaper elsewhere. I also would never let them work on my rig, search Camping World Service on these pages to see why. Most parks will find a way to give you an equal discount using AARP, or some other discount, or very often they'll just give it to you without a membership. Too many horror stories on their roadside service on these pages. I think they used to be good in the OLDEN DAYS, but since they've been bought out, I don't think they are worth it. Just my opinion folks.

Ok, this is not apples to apples at all.

Agree, although I don't have a Prime Visa card.
And since we already have AAA, we get the same 10% discount that GS has.

Just an FYI: We have had AAA RV Gold service for years. This Oct. had a blow out of the 5th Wheel tire on I 95, GA, called AAA. They said that I will have to pay the service man to change the tire, I said "no we have RV Service" - they said "no you don't" - after going back and forth, found out that in 2015 they discontinued RV SERVICE, supposedly we got a letter in the mail that told us this (did not) Now you have to pay an extra $35 a year for RV SERVICE. We paid it right then & there over the phone and she sent us new cards that say "RV" on the front.

PS: The Georgia DOT (CHAMPS) arrived first and changed the tire for FREE!!! Apparently FL does, too. Check this out before you call GS or AAA!!

Do be aware that AAA is not the same natiowide. It is a network of state and regional programs and services (and coverage) available in one area that may not be applicable to another area. Check with your local office to see what applies with your program.

We keep our membership in GS for the gas and campground discounts. Like has been mentioned, it all depends on your camping style. I have bought several items thru CW but never at their regular prices, always wait till they are on sale and took advantage of their free shipping. And yes, I have checked Amazon first to make sure that I was getting a good price. It has been a very worthwhile membership for us but to each his own.
