GoodSam travel assist

Is GoodSam travel assist a good deal? We plan on going to Alaska this year and DW does not drive the truck at all, well maybe when unhooked from camper. It's $79 bucks

I have it but havenít had to use it (thank God). I purchased it a couple of years ago after having a stent put in. I think it is cheap insurance for the peace of mind. My wife doesnít drive the truck when towing either. I hope I never have to use it.

Note that Good Sam Travel Assist is NOT the same as Good Sam Roadside Assistance. Two different products.

Check with your insurance agent. Most major carriers have roadside assist included, including towing for the tow vehicle AND the trailer.

The original poster was asking about Good Sam Travel Assist which is an emergency MEDICAL plan. One of the many benefits is if you become hospitalized while traveling they will get your RV back home if your partner canít do it. This is important to me since my wife doesnít drive the truck when towing. As I said in my previous post, I bought Travel Assist when I started having heart issues.

GS Travel Assist is completely different from Roadside Assistance.

I bought it for peace of mind, it is well worth the monies, God forbid you need it. They will fly you.and send a Dr. If needed, send your partner home on a plane and get your unit home, i.have had it for two years now. First year 79.00 then they raised it to 89.00 this year. To.me it is still a great deal and gives me piece of mind. But to each there own. With my health problems, I don't want to.leave my wife with that problem, you will never beat that price

Take a look at FMCA and Joint, the road assistance is included in your dues. The first year is $50 because of the plaques then it is $40 a year to belong and the road assistance is included.
