Birdie, just interested in why you considered such a trailer.
Do you have the skills to gut and rebuild the trailer and saw it as a doable project?
Or are you unfamiliar with RVs and don't realize the amount of work it would take to make that trailer livable?

Birdie, I applaud you for asking first. That's the first step in becoming knowledgeable about RVs! Keep looking and I'm sure you'll find a trailer to love.

That being said, I'm very surprised to see a trailer of that vintage in that bad of shape. I have seen much older trailers look better.

Please don't buy that trailer. It's not worth $500 let alone $5,000. Sometimes it takes a while to find something. It took us 3 months of hard looking before we found our first trailer and that was in the very populated Los Angeles area. Be patient and keep looking. If you see any seal damage, spongy floor, or water damage, keep walking. Good luck!

Another place to look believe it or not is Facebook Market Place. Believe it or not in my area more things move through Facebook Market Place than Craigslist.

x2 on being patient and the only stupid question is the one you do not ask.

Good luck.
