$3.59 gal. Unleaded in eastern Sierra, Ca. (near Yosemite) thanks to Calif.'s high taxes!!! The Indian reservations have the cheapest gas stations around here.
I go 120 mi. north to the Nevada state line and it immediately drops down about $1.50 gal.

"Armpit of the west"?? Lets see now, cornfields or the magestic Sierras, near Yosemite or how about Malibu, where I spent most of my life. Tourists come by the millions to experience these beautiful places. Home many people vacation in the midwest to experience the cornfields or other nondescript places??
